FROLLEINFLOW
A company with an institute.
We are an educational manufactory and transformation consultancy that builds on the foundations of the Institute for Creative Flaneurs. Our work is the result of decades of research and practice.
The founders: A common mission
Dr. Anja C. Wagner & Nicole Bauch
Our shared history is deeply rooted in practice:
- From the conception of multimedia learning formats for companies since 1995
- on the development of visionary concepts for AI-supported evaluation of OER materials (long before the GenAI hype)
- to strategic support for the Software Campus, where we help develop Germany’s top IT talents into managers.
As an architect for transformation, Anja brings scientific and conceptual depth to the table.
Nicole translates these into effective strategies for the market as a director for marketing & impact – with her experience from a leading textbook publisher and the e-learning department of the FU Berlin.
Our approach: from strolling to transformation
FROLLEINFLOW
We combine scientific precision with strategic impact to create distinctive expertise.
What do we do?
We design transformative learning formats and skills strategies that enable people and companies to operate safely and innovatively in the age of AI.
Why are we doing this?
We are freeing education from its systemic inertia because real innovation requires the courage to change – not the mere administration of what already exists.
How do we achieve this?
We unleash people’s creative potential by showing them how they can explore the digital world as curious and self-determined flâneurs.
Our pioneering journey: Milestones in our work

The journey began before buzzwords dominated the market.
We helped lead the open education movement and shaped the discourse on future skills and the future of work long before these terms became popular.
2004-2011: THE BASICS
Mainstream trend
E-learning means putting PowerPoint slides online as PDFs. Social media is considered a private gimmick.
Our path as thought leaders
With “eVideo”, we are creating one of the first hybrid continuing education formats, which is still considered a role model today.
At the same time, we are launching Germany’s first social media training course and working with students to introduce the term “connectivism” to the German Wikipedia.
2011-2014: THE VISION
Mainstream trend
The MOOC hype from the USA promises to scale education as knowledge transfer – often at the expense of real interaction.
Our path as thought leaders
With “ununi.TV”, we are launching the first collaborative, crowdfunded learning platform.
At the same time, we are laying the scientific foundations for networked, global education with our dissertation “UEBERFLOW” (2012).
2016-2019: THE GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
Mainstream trend
“New Work” and “Work 4.0” are becoming buzzwords – the focus is almost exclusively on the pioneers in Silicon Valley.
Our path as thought leaders
Our sensational MOOCs “Work 4.0” and “Beacon 4.0” with Californian insights are driving the debate forward. With “China Infusion”, we are breaking through the Western perspective and shedding new light on global innovation flows.
In numerous lectures, Anja creates images of the future and predicts developments that we are experiencing today with the AI waves.
2019-TODAY: SHAPING THE FUTURE
Mainstream trend
The world of work continues to demand certified skills.
And the continuing education company serves them via traditional knowledge transfer formats.
Our path as thought leaders
We already addressed the topic in “B(u)ildung 4.0” (2017) and showed with “Berufen statt zertifiziert” (2021) that competence, attitude and networks count more than certificates.
Since 2022, we have also been able to demonstrate how modern approaches can be used to reshape traditional training courses in funded projects.
