AI in corporate publishing: how is the industry changing? Mit Maya McKechneay

27. June 2024,XX15:00 - 15:45

The rapid development of (generative) AI is affecting almost all sectors – including corporate publishing, the area of journalism that creates corporate content. In this interactive online session, we will explore together the opportunities that AI holds for this industry. We will touch on what AI can mean for freelance copywriters in this field and then discuss how an editorial team can use the potential of the technology to increase creativity and profit.

We will be interested in the following points:

  • From static to dialog-oriented: Will chatbots shape the future of corporate communications? How can we usefully supplement printed annual and sustainability reports with interactive, AI-supported formats?
  • AI in the newsroom: Which tasks can be delegated to AI? Can GPT reliably support us with proofreading and replace our classic dual control principle? Using a concrete example, we compare the results of a human proofreader with those of Google Gemini Advanced.
  • Best practice: We share our experience of using AI to brainstorm titles, summarize content for graphics and social media, and create tables of contents. What other possible applications do we see?
  • Print meets digital: Together, we develop ideas on how we can use AI to build bridges between print and digital content. How can both formats be combined in an innovative way and create added value for customers? Creative input from all those present is required here!

In a final brainstorming session, we will collect further approaches and ideas together on how AI can shape and enrich our business area in the future. Target group: Editors, content creators, marketing and communication managers.
